British parliament member Jo Cox died Thursday after being shot and stabbed multiple times in a West Yorkshire town she represented. A man in his fifties attacked the Labor Party member in a street of Birstall, the town where she planned to hold a constituency meeting. Libya has become an important transit point for migrants, but since 2011, conflict has also driven many Libyans and foreign workers from the country. Roughly 300,000 people ended up at a UN refugee camp just across the border in Tunisia. By the time the camp closed in 2013, some had received refugee status; many others were repatriated. But several dozen Africans, whose asylum applications were rejected, refused to leave. Lisa Bryant reports.
